CIAS2025 — the 13th New Energy Vehicle Electric Drive Innovation Technology Development Conference — took place on 23–24 April 2025. SineSemi came away with two awards: the Automotive-Grade Chip Quality Product Award for SMT4005AHPQ, a 40V/3.9 mΩ automotive-grade MOSFET, and the PV-Storage-Charging Chip Quality Product Award for SS065N045FIA, a 650 V/450 A IGBT photovoltaic inverter module.

SMT4005AHPQ: 40V/3.9 mΩ automotive-grade MOSFET. The part is AEC-Q101 qualified through SGS. A polyimide die passivation layer, combined with package-level optimization, provides dual protection against thermal stress and ionic contamination. The latest SGT process iteration lowers conduction and switching losses together: on-resistance is 10% lower than comparable devices and the figure of merit (FOM) is 15% better. The device operates at up to 175°C, and its compact package raises power density; on the safety side it carries breakdown-voltage (BV) margin, passes avalanche testing, offers a wide SOA and has been tuned for EMI. Target applications are electric water pumps, oil pumps, sunroofs, windows, power tailgates, power seats and on-board power supplies in both new-energy and conventional vehicles.

SS065N045FIA: 650 V/450 A IGBT photovoltaic inverter module. The module uses a neutral-point-clamped three-level inverter topology with high power density. Its low-inductance design trims turn-off voltage spikes and improves both gate-drive behaviour and EMI. Against comparable competing modules it cuts losses by 7%, raises conversion efficiency by 0.13%, and measures 6.2% higher in breakdown voltage for a wider safety margin. It was developed specifically for 120 kW-class PV inverters and has been validated in volume use at benchmark customers.
How the two awards are judged: the Automotive-Grade Chip Quality Product Award recognizes companies that break through key technologies, fill industry gaps or achieve domestic substitution, advancing self-reliance in automotive semiconductors; the PV-Storage-Charging Chip Quality Product Award focuses on core-chip innovation for photovoltaic, storage and charging systems, assessed on efficiency standards, market performance and contribution to the industry.
SineSemi states its mission as "driving the new-energy revolution with Chinese chips" and centres its strategy on differentiation and high added value — concentrating resources on core technology and working with upstream and downstream partners to open up emerging application areas.
