The China Automotive Chip Industry Innovation Strategic Alliance and the editorial board of China Electronics News have announced the 2025 Influential Automotive Chip awards, and SineSemi's automotive-grade power MOSFET SMT4005AHPQ is among the winners.
The award recognizes domestically developed automotive chips already in volume production, judged on independent innovation, technical leadership, market competitiveness and recognition from quality customers.

SMT4005AHPQ is a 40 V, 3.9 mΩ automotive-grade MOSFET, AEC-Q101 qualified by SGS. Built on SineSemi's latest SGT process iteration, it brings conduction and switching losses down together: on-resistance is 10% lower than comparable parts and the figure of merit is 15% better. The compact surface-mount package is rated to a 175°C junction temperature; a low Crss/Ciss ratio helps keep EMI in check, and the part leaves margin in efficiency, power density, power loss and temperature rise.
On safety and reliability, the design carries breakdown-voltage margin and prevents false turn-on under standard gate drive; every device is avalanche tested, and a wide SOA gives strong resistance to surge stress. A polyimide die passivation layer, matched to the package, improves protection against thermal stress and ionic contamination.

SineSemi's automotive business centers on domestic replacement of power chips, building an AEC-Q101 portfolio on a foundation of reliable supply and strict quality control. The focus is low- and mid-voltage MOSFETs for powertrain, chassis safety, body comfort and driver-assistance systems, with high-voltage superjunction MOSFETs, IGBTs and SiC modules in development as a technology reserve.
