FAQ

Selection, documents, ordering and cooperation

Engineering questions come first; the rest are grouped by topic under "More questions". Pricing, lead time and MOQ are confirmed per order.

Selection & Engineering

How do I choose between wafer and finished product?

It depends on your production line and project stage: choose wafer if you handle your own packaging and test or need custom wafer fabrication; finished product is more efficient for standard applications. The two can also be combined — for example, custom wafers with outsourced packaging.

How do I get selection support — cross-reference, local alternatives or BOM quoting?

Our cross-reference tool takes a competitor or OEM part number plus your application need — engineers review parameters and certification requirements and reply with alternative suggestions. Our BOM tool takes a full part list and quantities — the team checks each line and replies by email with supply options.

How can I confirm whether a part is automotive grade?

The "Product Grade" filter in the parametric selector distinguishes automotive, industrial and consumer grades, and the grade is also shown in the results table and on each product page. Where a manufacturer does not publish a grade, the part is not assigned to any grade and the filter reports such parts separately. For confirmation, please contact us: our engineering team will respond on the basis of the manufacturer datasheet and qualification documents such as AEC-Q101.

How can the parametric selector be used efficiently?

Narrow the range using the parameter ranges, brand, product grade and package filters on the left, or search by part number using the field above the table. Core parameter columns are shown by default; the remaining columns can be enabled under "Columns". Filtered results can be exported to CSV, which always contains the complete column set for comparison, and filter and sort state is written to the URL so a result can be shared by link.

How should a local alternative be evaluated?

Matching the parameter table is only the first step. A substitution also requires assessment of package and pinout, qualification level, failure modes, temperature margin and batch consistency. Submit the part in use together with your operating conditions through the cross-reference tool; our engineers review each aspect and propose candidates suitable for evaluation, rather than the closest parameter match.

Can engineering support or design-in assistance be provided?

Yes. Our engineering team supports parameter selection, substitution assessment and application conditions, and contact with the manufacturer FAE can be arranged where design detail is involved. The scope of support is determined by the project and the part concerned.

What differs between the suffixed part numbers within a series?

Variants within a family typically differ in package, pinout, qualification level or threshold binning; the SMT4004 family alone comprises several suffixed variants. The differences are those stated on each variant's product page and in the ordering information of its datasheet — suffix conventions are defined by the manufacturer and are not interpreted by inference on our part.

Can automotive-grade and industrial-grade parts be interchanged?

Not on the basis of the parameter table alone. Grade differences arise in qualification requirements (such as AEC-Q101), test screening intensity, temperature and lifetime testing, and batch consistency control; identical parameters do not imply identical reliability requirements. Using an automotive-grade part in an industrial application is generally unproblematic, whereas the reverse requires assessment against the specific application.

More questions

Data & Documents

Where can I view or download datasheets?

Product pages for SineSemi and for our own product line show the full datasheet online. For other brands we display a parameter table within what the manufacturer has publicly disclosed, with an external PDF link only when the manufacturer has published one — otherwise the parameter table is all that is shown.

What is the source and update frequency of the parameter data?

Parameters are based on manufacturers' published selection data and datasheets. Manufacturer listings are checked periodically, and any differences are reviewed manually before being applied. Fields that cannot be verified are left blank rather than estimated. Where our data differs from the latest official document, the manufacturer document prevails; corrections are welcome.

Are selection resources available for each product category?

The Selection Guides section documents, by category, the applications a device class addresses, how its key parameters should be read and how ratings are chosen, covering LV/MV and HV MOSFETs, SiC, IGBTs, gate drivers and power management. Category and product pages link to the corresponding guide.

What does "-" indicate in the parameter table?

It indicates that the manufacturer has not published that parameter; it does not mean the value is zero or not applicable. Only data with a verifiable source is recorded, and unverifiable fields are left blank rather than estimated. If the parameter is required, please contact us and our engineers will confirm it with the manufacturer.

Which prevails if the selection table and the datasheet differ?

The manufacturer's official datasheet prevails. Our parameters are based on published manufacturer data, so a revision on their side may create a time lag. Please report any discrepancy: we will verify it, update the data and confirm the result with you.

What format is used for the CSV export?

Standard CSV in UTF-8 with a byte-order mark, so that Excel and WPS open it without character corruption. The export always contains every parameter column for the category, independently of the current "Columns" setting, and retains the active filter and sort — suitable for direct comparison or for merging into a BOM.

Ordering & Delivery

How do I get a quote?

Share the part number, key parameters or application need — parts not yet listed can be inquired about too — and our engineering and commercial team will confirm availability before quoting. Volume and tiered pricing are calculated based on actual quantity; the site does not publish a fixed price range. Use the form or email below.

Do you provide samples?

Sample availability, quantity and process vary by part number and project, and are assessed case by case — we do not make a blanket sample commitment on the site.

How are MOQ and lead time determined?

MOQ and lead time vary by part number, package and order volume, with no fixed standard published on the site — each is confirmed against the specific order details.

Who is the contracting entity, and how does invoicing work?

The contracting entity is 深圳市突触半导体有限公司. Invoicing and settlement details are confirmed during order discussion.

How is order progress followed up?

Once an order is confirmed, your commercial and engineering contacts follow it through and provide updates by email. Please advise as early as possible if quantities or dates need to change.

Can a datasheet be obtained prior to ordering?

Yes. Where the manufacturer publishes the PDF, the product page provides the download link directly. Where it does not, the page offers a "Request Datasheet" entry, and our engineers provide the material that may be shared within that part's authorization scope.

How are end-of-life or manufacturer changes handled?

Manufacturer listings are checked periodically and part status on the site is updated after manual verification. If a part you use is affected, submit it with your operating conditions through the cross-reference tool and our engineers will assess the successor options with you.

How are supply and stocking arranged?

Products are distributed through manufacturer-authorized channels; supply is arranged around manufacturer capacity and local stocking cadence; pricing, lead times and technical questions are communicated promptly and transparently.

Credentials & Cooperation

Are you an authorized distributor for the original manufacturers?

Yes. For every brand in our matrix we hold either Core Authorized Distributor or Authorized Distributor status, in direct relationship with the manufacturer — brands without authorization are not listed. The site states each brand's status in text only, without certificate validity dates or scanned copies; the status of each brand is shown on the brand matrix page.

Can you support custom chip design, wafer manufacturing or packaging?

Yes. We have chip-design capability and also works with wafer-manufacturing and assembly-and-test partners, covering everything from design through custom manufacturing to packaged finished chips across multiple package types. Discuss your specific requirement with our engineering team.

Which application areas are served?

Primarily automotive electronics, industrial control, telecom & computing, and consumer electronics. The Applications section sets out typical devices and selection considerations for each area.

Is English correspondence and overseas business supported?

The site is available in Chinese and English, and correspondence in English is supported. Compliance and logistics arrangements for overseas delivery are confirmed case by case, by destination and part number.

Are inquiries handled directly by engineers?

Requests from the site forms and inquiry entries go directly into the engineering and commercial queue; there is no intermediate routing layer. Please state the application and key parameters when submitting, so that the response can be more specific.
