SineSemi has formally joined the Humanoid Robot Testing and Certification Working Group, with general manager Sun Yantao appointed as one of the group's experts.
The working group was inaugurated on 18 November 2024 at the second 2024 meeting of the Robot Testing and Certification Alliance, held at Shanghai Electrical Apparatus Research Institute (Group) Co., Ltd. Its remit is to strengthen research planning for testing and certification technology in the humanoid-robot field and to support the growth of the humanoid-robot supply chain — the alliance's next milestone after the upgraded China Robot Certification scheme. At the meeting, chairman Wu Yehua presented Sun Yantao with his letter of appointment as a working-group expert. SineSemi takes part as a power-semiconductor company, contributing technical and solution-level input to the coordinated development of humanoid (embodied) robots and their supply chain.

The following day, the 2024 China Robot Industry Development Conference — Humanoid Robot Industry Development Forum, organised by the China Machinery Industry Federation, took place in Suzhou. Under the theme "Toward a New Era of Intelligent Robots", it drew more than 300 participants — academics, company representatives and testing bodies from the humanoid-robot field in China and abroad — to focus on testing and certification for humanoid robots, and on how technical innovation and a more complete certification system can raise quality and efficiency across the industry at the same time. Huang Chuanlian, manager of SineSemi's applications engineering department, was invited to give a keynote titled "Advanced MOSFETs for Efficient, High-Quality Growth of the Humanoid Robot Industry".

The talk set out what SineSemi's SGT MOSFETs bring to robot applications:
- Compact, thin packages that save PCB area;
- SGT technology combined with dual-side-cooled packaging for higher current handling;
- Good current sharing in parallel, suited to high-power motors;
- Strong surge robustness, able to ride through motor stall;
- Low RDS(ON) and a low FOMg figure of merit;
- Lower voltage spikes and better EMI behaviour;
- Wide SOA and a Tj rating of 175°C;
- A strengthened built-in RC snubber, plus a linearised Crss Miller characteristic with low Crss/Ciss.

SineSemi's product combination for robot applications spans the PDFN3333-8L and PDFN5060-8L packages through to the dual-side-cooled PDFN5060-8L-DC:
| Part | VDS (V) | ID (A) | RDS(ON) typ. @ VGS = 10 V (mΩ) | EAS (mJ) | Package |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SMT10T03CHP | 100 | 129 | 3.3 | 960 | PDFN5060-8L |
| SMT10T02AHPDCQ | 100 | 209 | 2.0 | 1,000 | PDFN5060-8L-DC |
| SMT10T08ALR | 100 | 50 | 7.1 | 160 | PDFN3333-8L |
| SMT12T07AHP | 120 | 87 | 5.6 | 336 | PDFN5060-8L |
| SMT15T09AHP | 150 | 71 | 8.6 | 672 | PDFN5060-8L |
Power MOSFETs are among the most basic hardware building blocks of an embodied robot. SineSemi intends to keep broadening its product matrix and to support the robotics industry with domestically produced device solutions. Taken together, the working-group seat and the conference keynote — two days apart — place SineSemi's involvement in humanoid robots on both the standards side and the device side.
