Exhibition Recap: SineSemi at the 2024 Asia Pacific Semiconductor Summit & Expo in Penang

The three-day 2024 Asia Pacific Semiconductor Summit & Expo (APSSE) wrapped up in Penang, Malaysia on 18 October. Held under the theme "Converge in Penang, Power Asia Pacific", the event gathered entrepreneurs, academics, semiconductor associations and universities from across the IC industry to discuss where the sector is heading and how to innovate and cooperate along the way.

SineSemi took part at the invitation of the administrative committee of the Lin-gang Special Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, travelling with the Lin-gang delegation on its Southeast Asia outreach mission as part of the company's plan to extend its business overseas. The company's line-up spans high-reliability, high-efficiency power devices for new-energy vehicles, photovoltaic and energy-storage systems, AI gaming and server power, and general industrial applications, and is in stable use across several of these sectors. Its automotive-grade power products have been recognised by international certification bodies and benchmark customers.

On stage, SineSemi delivered a keynote as one of the IC company representatives, walking the audience through its product roadmap and technology direction, presenting its automotive portfolio, and outlining the work the company has done to help the automotive industry move toward a greener, more sustainable footing.

Against the backdrop of China's carbon-peak and carbon-neutrality goals, large-scale deployment of solar, wind and other renewables has become the direction of travel for energy. SineSemi has planned ahead and invested in IGBTs for photovoltaic inverters, with lower temperature rise and higher reliability than comparable products in the market. Beyond discrete IGBTs, its IGBT module SS065N045FIA is already shipping to customers in volume. Photovoltaics remains a focus for continued investment, with the aim of supplying the power devices that the new-energy sector needs to grow with quality.

Founded in 2017 with registered capital of RMB 50 million, SineSemi designs and develops high-efficiency, high-reliability power semiconductors, develops and manufactures advanced power packages, and handles sales and application support.

Penang was one stop in SineSemi's overseas build-out. From here the company lets market applications steer its work, supplying reliable, efficient one-stop power-device solutions to customers at home and abroad.
