Applications
Industrial power modules target variable-frequency drives, UPS systems and welding supplies, integrating power switches with drive/protection circuitry to raise power density and simplify thermal design.
- Topology (rectifier bridge, inverter bridge, etc.) must match the end-equipment circuit architecture
- Derate rated current/voltage against peak load to avoid continuous full-load operation
- Substrate isolation voltage and thermal resistance set heatsink design and usable power
- Built-in temperature/current sense pins affect system-level protection circuit design
